Editing
One day, maybe I will start a Surrealist hip hop art magazine called Metaplazmus. Until then, here find my sojourns into the world of creating and editing literature in periodical format.
A Lush In Rio - a journal of literary humor. Co-fouder, columnist, literary editor, 2006 - present (?). Here’s a sampling of my contributions to the journal I demi-manage. These come from three different sporadically-updated columns, two pseudonymous:
- From Marschall On Carlin - “Carlin On Marschall On Carlin”
- From The Best Of Public Martyrdom - “St. Nissa the Dyspeptic”
- From Ave Raris Moderna - “The Vanuatuan Goatsorcerer”
Pomp & Circumstance - a Brooklyn arts & culture magazine. Contributor, sometimes-copy editor, Technology & Faith Editor, #1 - 5, 2007 - present. Among other pieces, I wrote a few attempts at a column (Chronophage) exploring the End Times, history, consciousness, robots, macrobiology, psychopathology, the evil of politics, and so on. The usual.
Silo - the literary journal of Bennington College. Contributor, 2002 - 2006, literary editor, #61, 2005 - 2006. Contributions include “From the Front” in #58, “Man and Inverted Man” in #59, and “The Octopus Garden” in #61.
